About me
I love traveling. I love living abroad. I love speaking a foreign language. However, even as a senior in high school, studying or living abroad had not crossed my mind. That year, I traveled to Paris for ten days with my family and I felt homesick the entire time, anxiously anticipating our return to San Francisco. Something changed.
In my experiences abroad since, my interest and now love for the French language has emboldened me to build relationships with people who cross my path in foreign places. I believe that cross-cultural interactions builds understanding and empathy, in an effort to build a more equitable society.

Since my return from France in 2014, I have been sharing these experiences through my graduate studies and my current work in the Office of Global Education at Georgetown University.

J’adore voyager. J’adore vivre à l’étranger. J’adore parler une langue étrangère. Toutefois, lorsque j’étais lycéenne, étudier ou vivre à l’étranger ne m’était pas venu à l’esprit. Cette année là, je voyageais à Paris avec ma famille et j’ai eu le mal du pays durant les dix jours de notre voyage, en anticipant notre retour à San Francisco. Quelque chose avait changé.
Depuis cette découverte, mes expériences à l’étranger, mon intérêt et ma passion pour la langue française m’encouragent à nouer des relations avec les personnes qui croisent mon chemin. Je crois que les interactions interculturelles développent l'empathie dans un effort d'atteindre une société équitable.

Depuis mon retour de France en 2014, je partage ces expériences à travers mes études et mon travail actuel dans le bureau d'éducation international à Georgetown University.
